Claudia Maria is a Brazilian-born model, athlete and actress, and an international icon in the beauty and health industry. Claudia started in the business at the age of 21, mainly doing local advertising shoots. In 1983 a scout came to her agency and recruited her to come to Paris, where she quickly started working for different brand designers, Pierre Cardin, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Louis Scherrer, Louis Féraud, Courrèges, among many others.
Claudia had many memorable moments in her career, such as being chosen by Mr. Saint Laurent for a WWD editorial, or a photoshoot at Place de la Concorde or walking the runway on the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.
In 2020 Clarins chose Claudia Maria as the worldwide representative for their latest skincare line. For her a great way to represent women of her generation. Not by inspiring them with the idea of “growing old gracefully”, but rather with unapologetic boldness, dynamism, and vitality. She aims to encourage all women to explore the outer limits of their comfort zone. Claudia describes herself as a modern nomad working globally, going wherever brands are looking for a voice and image of a woman with full ownership of her age and life experience.
