Janna started her modeling career when she was 19. After a Holiday with her parents to Cuba, Janna and her sister really wanted to get back to the beautiful island. As they had no money, they thought it would be a good idea to become a model and earn some. Through the yellow pages, she found an agency, send a picture and received an invitation to a model competition in return. Janna won, was send to Milan and so her modeling career began.

Over the course of the years, Janna lived in Milan, Barcelona, Cape Town, Athens, Miami and Germany. She speaks Dutch, “Fries”, English and German and really loves the traveling part of the work. Tommy Hilfiger in Cape Town, Barbados, bikini’s and its beautiful beaches, a shoot for Protest to Zermat, Lapland, the Canary Islands and luckily, for a shoot for Sanoma, she even made it back to Cuba!

Also, doing modeling work together with her children is something Janna absolutely enjoyed. Her son was six months old when they went for Prenatal to Spain, that was something very special. But, Janna is particularly happy doing “extreme shoots.” Jumping on trampolines, standing on high cliffs in Ireland, diving off rocks in Scotland, or a dip in the icy Dutch sea—nothing is too crazy for her! After all these years she simply still loves her job.
